APAA 2025: Year in Review

As we close out 2025, we reflect on a year marked by growth, connection, and continued leadership in the art advisory field. In 2025, we launched our City Guide Series—intimate insider perspectives from APAA advisors on art, culture, and hidden gems in cities around the world.

Our advisors shared their expertise across eight destinations:

From museum exhibitions to local dining favorites, these guides offer curated recommendations that reflect the depth and diversity of our members' expertise.


Events: Building Community & Knowledge

APAA hosted over 15 in-person and virtual events throughout 2025, creating opportunities for professional development, networking, and exclusive access.

Highlights included:

  • Private tour of Ruth Asawa: A Retrospective at MoMA, organized by member Kristy Bryce

  • Sotheby's panel discussion on "Private Sales and the Art Market" during Frieze London, moderated by member Matan Daube

  • Exclusive programming in Paris during Art Basel week, including private tours of the Gerhard Richter retrospective at Fondation Louis Vuitton organized by member Andrea Hazen

  • Risk Strategies breakfast at EXPO Chicago

  • Virtual programming on taxes, tariffs, and market insights

APAA President Alex Glauber contributed insights to the UBS & Art Basel Survey of Global Collecting 2025, underscoring the critical role advisors play in today's market. The report revealed that 33% of high-net-worth collectors rely on art advisors—the highest percentage among all forms of external guidance.
