About
Temple Shipley has over a decade of professional experience working with museums, art foundations, and private art collections. She advises individuals and multi-generational families, guiding longterm philanthropic conversations and providing tailored acquisition strategies.
Credentials
Before founding Temple Shipley Advisory, Temple served as Director of Galerie Frank Elbaz in Dallas and Paris. She represented living artists and estates, exhibiting their works at international art fairs and in museum exhibitions.
She has previously served on curatorial teams at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museums of Sonoma County, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust in Chicago.
She previously served on the board of Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, an artist-run exhibition space situated in the endangered Texas Blackland Prairie. She currently serves on the College Leadership Council at the University of Chicago.
Education/Professional Associations
Temple earned her BA in Art History with Honors from the University of Chicago and continued with coursework in the Arts Management & Entrepreneurship program at Southern Methodist University.
