Mark Hughes Art Advisory has been offering a comprehensive service to individuals and corporations since 2011. First and foremost we offer tailored advice on collecting, and our services cover the entire process from initial consultation to installation.
Credentials
Prior to founding Mark Hughes Art Advisory in 2011, Mark was Director of Galerie Lelong, New York for nine years and Associate Director of Barbara Gladstone Gallery, New York. He has worked with some of the world’s most influential artists including Vito Acconci, Andy Goldsworthy, Shirin Neshat, Yoko Ono, Sean Scully and the late Nancy Spero. Before his time in New York, Mark was Associate Director of Sydney’s Sherman Galleries (1992-2000) working with many leading contemporary Australian artists.
Mark contributes to the cultural fabric of Sydney through his roles as a Trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales Foundation, a member of the Advisory Board for Sydney Contemporary Art Fair and Ambassador for the Museum of Contemporary Art. He is regularly called on to speak at museum and art fair events, and writes for publications including The Financial Review, Architecture Digest and Vogue.
